Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Rev. Griffith Hughes of Glanrhyd, Edern, Caernarfonshire, was born in 1804, the eldest son of Capt. John Hughes of the ship Palmyra and his wife Elizabeth. He was ordained in 1839, and in the same year married Margery Owens. After her death in 1843, he married Hannah Roberts in 1846 by whom he had two children, Catherine, born in 1847 and John, born in 1849. The Rev. Griffith Hughes died in 1884.
