Scope and Content

The meetings are used for the department's forward planning and discussion of issues including: staffing; use of the lecture theatre and lecture programme; budget; design and printing of information, leaflets and resources; project updates; education outreach projects; education exhibitions; interpretation; marketing; etc.

The meetings are attended by all members of the Learning Department.

Meetings are held approximately monthly or bi-monthly. All meetings are minuted.

Minutes for 2006 and 2007 have not been deposited with the archive.

The series includes, for each meeting, the minutes and agenda. Discussion papers are also included occasionally.

Administrative / Biographical History

Meetings of the Learning Department, previously known as the Education Department, were established in July 2001.
