The Valentia papers have a great many
documents connected with marriage (and
other) settlements. Although most of
these documents mention many properties,
they never concern a change in
ownership.
It was therefore decided to put together
all such settlements into this section,
starting from the earliest member of the
family, up to the affairs of the 12th
Viscount, the last Annesley of
Bletchingdon.
At the end of this section is a group of
genealogical papers concerning the
Annesley pedigree (mostly concerned with
trying to prove the rightful heir to the
title in the 19th cent.).
