This collection comprises 27 oral history interviews, 10 broadcasts and three personal recordings made by Dr Stephen Mattingly in the 1980s and 1990s. Tapes MT3, MT6 and part of MT-14 side 2 contained commercial music and personal recordings and were not digitised as part of the project.

Administrative / Biographical History
Dr Stephen Mattingly (1946-2011) was born in Hampstead, London. He graduated medical school in 1946 and joined the Royal Army Medical Corps. On retiring, Stephen moved to Little Brington in Northamptonshire and soon became heavily involved in the Brington History Society. These recordings made up part of Dr Mattingly's research for his book, 'Aspects of Brington, a Northamptonshire Country Parish' (Brington: Brington and Nobottle Local History Association, 1997).
