FINAL CONCORD: Between William Vaughan, Gent., Plaintiff and Richard Rathbone, clerk and Catherine his wife, deforciants when the deforciants acknowledged one capital messuage, 4 other messuages, 5 cottages, 5 tofts, 10 gardens, 4 orchards, 60 acres of heath and bruery and common pastures pa. Llanvechell and Llanbadrick, co. Anglesey to be right of the paintiff.

Administrative / Biographical History

A 'Fine of Lands' or 'Final Concord', or 'Fine', was a property conveyance which existed in England (and later in Wales) from at least the 12th century until its abolition in 1833 by the Fines and Recoveries Act.. The word 'concord' means 'agreement'. The legal procedure usually took place in the Court of Common Pleas.
