Series 3: rules books, 1881-1901

Series 4: other papers including an apprenticeship indenture, membership cards and report from a conference of the Cabinet Trades Alliance and Cabinet Trades Federation.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Alliance Cabinet Makers' Association was formed in 1865. In 1902 it amalgamated with the United Operative Cabinet and Chairmakers Society of Scotland to form the National Amalgamated Furnishing Trades Association.
