John Sawen of Little Waltham, Essex, Orator, shows: whereas Sir William Peeter by indenture dated 4 December 1564 let to John Bond of Raynham, Essex, certain land for the term of a thousand years; and whereas Edward Shettleworth of Writtell by will dated 7 May 1649 devised the land to Robert Shettleworth, his eldest son; and the Orator bought the land for the remainder of the term and is in possession; now Robert Shettleworth says he was not of age when the sale was made and that the Orator paid no money for the land, and threatens to evict the Orator; The Orator prays that a subpoena be directed to Robert Shettleworth to appear in Court and answer.
