The archive is composed of correspondence and synagogue papers, 1841-1942, with the principal run of general correspondence files starting in 1863. For the period 1911-23 the files have been sorted alphabetically as well as annually. Earlier correspondence relates to synagogue matters including the prayer books, appeals, the organ, arrears of subscriptions, etc. There are files of applications for membership or seats, copies of the treasurer's reports and financial statements, a lease of synagogue property and papers relating to the appointment of ministers.
