A collection of correspondence and miscellaneous papers. The letters and copy letters between Rev. W.H. Williams and numerous correspondents relate mainly to Rev. W.H. Williams' journey to India and his missionary work there. A few also relate to the activities of the British and Foreign Bible Society. The miscellaneous papers also contain details regarding his missionary work. There are estimates of expenditure of the Lushai Mission and an Indian language examination paper for example. Also, included are such items as minutes of meetings and conferences of the Bible Society, newsletters, sermon notes, and an article on the history of the Pen-y-bryn chapel in Rhiwabon, Denbighshire.

Administrative / Biographical History
Rev. W.H. Williams of Prestatyn, north Wales died in 1971. He spent some years as a missionary in Aijal in Lushai, India. In later years he became the north Wales secretary and then the Wales area secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society.
Arrangement
The collection has been incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts, arranged according to record type and then chronologically.

The papers were received through the good offices of Mr David Hughes, bookseller, of Llandudno, north Wales.
