Administrative / Biographical History

Theodore Rowland Williams, CMG (1954), was born on the 29 September 1889. He was educated at Bath College, and Trinity College, Oxford.

In 1912 Williams joined the Civil Service in Northern Rhodesia where he worked as an Administrative Officer until 1925. In 1926 he moved to Jamaica where he was involved in farming and public service (he was appointed as a Member of the Legislative Council in 1941, Custos of Westmoreland in 1944, and a Member of the Executive Council in 1951). Williams died on the 18 February 1964.
