Scope and Content

Notes from the lectures of Professor John Rutherford (1695-1779) on the Practice of Physic, 1737-1738, mainly in Latin, at Gen. 1928. Starts, 'Some excerpts taken from ye Lectures of Dr. John Rudderford ... 1737'. A 375 page volume with lectures on Boerhave's Aphorisms.

At E95.52, a 283 page volume containing: transcription of works by Professor Alexander Monro (1695-1779), being 'A treatise of wounds and tumours'; copies of letters dating from 1738, starting with one by Dr. Pringle, Professor of Moral Philosophy, but mostly from Abraham Swaine who worked in the 'Medical Shop' of Mr. Hunter.
