Scope and Content

Includes correspondence between Caernarfonshire County Council and the Borough of Conway about matters such as camping, litter and car parking at the foot of Conway Mountain (1962-1963).

Principally the file deals with the demolition of old quarry buildings, now described as an eyesore. The demolition work was carried out by the Territorial Army using explosives with subsequent landscaping and re-seeding. The file includes plans showing the extent of the quarry buildings, photographs of the demolition work and newspaper cuttings.
