The Company was established in 1859. It was wound up in May 1902, though reconstructed in June of that year. The colliery closed at some time during the 1990s.

Arrangement

The collection originally formed part of a business records collection in the department. Where relevant, these previous finding numbers have been noted in the Physical Description field of records.
