Scope and Content

The collection is comprised of 8 items:

- Scrapbook of clippings relating to motorsport dating from 1954-1955 (motor magazines and national press), including personalities such as Alberto Ascari, Mike Hawthorn, Peter Collins, Reg Parnell, Sheila van Damm, and Stirling Moss; racing at/in Aintree, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, the Monte Carlo Rally, Silverstone, and Snetterton.

- Six photographs dating from 1955-1956, including Moss, Celia Savage and her mother, and Aintree, Silverstone, etc.

- Account, ‘1950s motor racing – a fragment of memoir’, by Celia Savage concerning the collection and her love for motorsport as a teenager.
