Scope and Content

This collection consists of six black and white photographs comprising a postcard copy of John Procter's Golden Peacocks; a Fowler Jubilee traction engine; specification for same; a Procter's traction engine involved in an accident at Belper; Bishton's SkiRide; and David Limb protesting against rent increases at Nottingham Goose Fair. Only one dated. There are 8 audio cassette recordings of interviews with showpeople from the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Section of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain.

The collection make up part of the image database collection which is available to view by appointment in the NFA reading room. Audio equipment will have to be booked prior to visit in order to listen to the cassette recordings.
