Administrative / Biographical History
The UTFWA was a union federation formed in 1889. The membership belonged to several textile unions mostly based around Bolton in Lancashire. The federation was dissolved in 1975 and most of its affiliates were absorbed into the Amalgamated Textile Workers Union.
