Comprises: (1) Three manuscript notebooks containing historical accounts of Kirkstall Abbey (1868), Leeds (1870), and miscellaneous printed papers on antiquarian subjects (1850); (2) Two manuscript deeds, one in the name of William Lambton (1643), the other called the "Woodhouse Deed" (1664), with a manuscript note dated 1878; (3) Offprint of "On unpublished MSS relating to Meaux Abbey", by Edward Levien; (4) Printer's galley proofs of a review of James Wardell's Historical notices of Ilkley, ... etc.; (5) 2 printed poems by James Wardell, dated 1864 and 1867 respectively; (6) Author's manuscript for a publication on Kirkstall Abbey, and printed plans and a description of the Abbey; (7) Manuscript plan of Gipton earthworks; (8) Wardell's transcriptions of several charters written in Latin.
