Administrative / Biographical History

Dorothy Clark was born at Southport and came to Girton as a Clothworkers' Scholar to read English 1929-32. She trained as a teacher at Oxford University Training Department 1932-33 and obtained her Diploma in Education (Oxford) in 1933. She taught English at Llangollen County School, Thomlinson Girls' Grammar School, Wigton and Kirby Secondary Grammar School, Middlesbrough.
