Administrative / Biographical History

The Institute of Creative Technologies is part of the Faculty of Technology at De Montfort University. It offered an MA/MSc in Creative Technologies that was run in partnership with three faculties: Art and Design, Humanities and Technology. The course was designed to be interdisciplinary and encourage convergence of arts, sciences and humanities subjects, enabled by technology. Students could take a broad range of modules from art and design, technology and humanities while working towards a Major Project that allowed them to pursue their own interests. The course was unique at the time.

The Institute of Creative Technologies is currently a research group within the School of Media and Communication, Faculty of Technology (as of 2018).
