Acquisition Information
The volumes were formerly Phillipps MSS 20979 and 8258 respectively in the library of Sir Thomas Phillipps. MS 8258 was originally part of the Heber collection, sold in 1836. Purchased by the University Library at Sotheby's, 16 June 1970.
