Administrative / Biographical History
J. Michael Popkin was born in 1920 and educated at St. Edmund's School in Canterbury, and St. Catharine's College, Cambridge. He was on military service between 1940 and 1944. In 1947 Popkin was appointed as an Education Officer in Kenya, he became Senior Education Officer in 1961 (-1964).
