Administrative / Biographical History

The British Motor Corporation Joint Shop Stewards' Committee evolved in 1952 from the Nuffield Combine Shop Stewards' Committee. A meeting in 1967 between Leyland-Triumph and BMC shop stewards led to the formation of the British Leyland (Motor Corporation Combined) Trade Union Committee in 1968.
