Scope and Content

Display board with four views of local characters on one side and four groups titled 'Tennis Teas 1896' on the other. The four characters are the Town Crier in High Street; Mary Brown (woman with flat cap and shawl selling a variety of fruit and vegetables underneath the market); Miss Jerman, The Hall; and another elderly lady operating the Old Town Pump in Short Bridge Street. The tennis teas are titled Miss Marshalls on Tennis field; Mr J H Williams Tea; Misses Minnie & Diana Thomas; Mrs Edmunds at Brynderwen
