The collection includes title deeds to properties in Waterstock, Waterperry, Emmington and Chilworth, legal and estate papers of Sir William Henry Ashhurst and William Henry Ashhurst, family photograph albums of the late 19th century and papers of Miss Gladys Ashhurst as a member of Oxfordshire County Council.

The Ashhurst family of Waterstock, Oxfordshire, includes Sir William Henry Ashhurst (1725-1807), William Henry Ashhurst (1778-1846), MP, and Miss Gladys Ashhurst, who was a member of Oxfordshire County Council in the 1930s and 1940s.
