Scope and Content

Notebooks and workbooks, typescript of papers written and of reports and accounts of civil engineering undertaken, notes and other papers relating to geology fieldwork excursions to Llangollen in 1947 and Swanage in 1948 and other miscellaneous items relating to his time as an undergraduate at the University.

This material includes manuscript notes made by Morrison himself, some of them inspected and marked by teaching staff, a range of plans and drawings, and a selection of duplicated teaching materials and notes

Administrative / Biographical History

John William Morrison was awarded a BSc in Civil Engineering in 1949. In 1958 he was working as a chief civil engineer for Richard Costain Ltd in South Rhodesia.
