Recites a lease dated 2 May 1793 of the manor of Mortimers (including a number of mills) by the master and fellows of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, to William Anderson of Cambridge, mealman, and an earlier lease dated 24 Dec 1787 by the corporation of Cambridge to Anderson's late mother Mary, of the King's Mills in Cambridge, with associated lands. Further recites the assignment detailed in Doc 1888. William Anderson undertakes to insure the mill buildings with the Sun Fire Office for #1,500. 5 pages, signed and sealed by William Anderson, witnessed by Rebecca ?Wrattin and John Wood, duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for #3,000, same signatures. Endorsed in pencil: 'Cambridge / Mortimers'. Parchment supplied by Thomas Druce or Bruce of Staple Inn, stationer.
