Admission (copy), Witcham, Cambridgeshire

William Bradford alias Bradfoot of Witcham, yeoman, at the request of Richard Blow of Whittlesford esq and in consideration of #80, surrenders by the hands of Hugh Robert Evans, gent, deputy-steward of the court of the manor of Witcham, his copyhold tenement or Cow Croft, manor of Witcham, to the use of Daniel Hamiul esq of Brystanstone (sic) St, Portman Square. Blow having enrolled a three-part indenture dated 31 July 1811 establishing his title to a liberty of foldage for 200 sheep in Witcham formerly in the possession of Peppercorn Sanxter, in consideration of #60 likewise surrenders his copyhold interest in the foldage to the use of Hamiul, who is subsequently admitted to the same at a total annual rent of 1s. 29 July 1812, 2 sides, copy of court roll, examined by Hugh Robert Evans, duty stamps. Lords of the manor are the dean (William Pearce DD) and chapter of Ely cathedral. The steward is James Yorke esq.
