Scope and Content

This collection mainly comprises the journals of Timothy Davis, together with miscellaneous papers belonging to David Davis, Castell Hywel, father of Timothy Davis, and also correspondence of David Davis of Neath.

Administrative / Biographical History

Timothy Davis (1779-1860) was the second son of David Davis ('Dafis Castell Hywel'). He was co-pastor with his father of the Unitarian church of Llwynrhydowen from 1802 to 1810, after which he left for Coventry, then, in 1819, for Evesham.
