Sir Richard Cooper Ashmole 1874 - 1946

Sir Richard Cooper Ashmole was the son of the son of the first Baronet Ashmole and the eldest daughter of EA Ashmall of Hammerwich, Staffordshire. He was educated at Clifton College. In 1900 he married Alice Priestland, daughter of the Reverend E. Priestland of Spondon, Derbyshire. He became the second baron in 1913. He was Chairman of Cooper, McDougall CHamp; Robertson, chemical manufacturers, and also MP (Ind. Unionist) for Walsall 1910 - 1922.
