Administrative / Biographical History
William Farley Rutter (b. 1888 at Shaftesbury, Dorset) was employed as a solicitor at the beginning of the First World War. With Friends' War Victims Relief from Oct. 1914 and Friends' Ambulance Unit from Dec. 1915 until Jan. 1919, he served with No. 17 Ambulance Train and No. 16 Ambulance Train on the Western Front.
