Ganwyd Jane Roberts yn Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr ar 8/8/1886; roedd yn ferch i Ruth Roberts, sef merch Thomas Roberts a Margaret Pugh. Cafodd Jane ei magu gan ei thaid a'i nain, Thomas a Margaret. Priododd Ishmael Williams (ganwyd tua 1887) yn Eglwys Sant Mihangel, Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr ar 21/12/1907; symudont i Gorwen i fyw. Bu farw hi ar 14/2/1965 yn Wrecsam.
Roedd y cyfwelydd, William Thomas Williams (ganwyd 18/6/1909; bu farw yn Ebrill 2005), yn gweithio fel Uwcharolygydd Nos yn Ysbyty Gogledd Cymru, Dinbych pan ymddeolodd. Ysgrifennodd gofiant o'r enw 'Peth o Hanes Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr' (CX746).
Recordiwyd y cyfweliad gwreiddiol ar beiriant tâp rîl ar ddechrau'r 1960au, a chafodd y recordiad ei drosglwyddo yn ddiweddarach i gryno ddisg gan aelod o deulu'r adneuwr.

Jane Roberts born in Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr on 8/8/1886; she was the daughter of Ruth Roberts, whose parents were Thomas Roberts and Margaret Pugh. Jane was and brought up by her grandparents, Thomas and Margaret. She married Ishmael Williams (born c.1887) in St Michael's Church, Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr on 21/12/1907; they moved to Corwen to live. She died on 14/2/1965 in Wrexham.
The interviewer, William Thomas Williams (born 18/6/1909; died April 2005), was the Night Superintendent at the North Wales Hospital, Denbigh, by the time of his retirement. He wrote the memoir 'Peth o Hanes Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr' (CX746).
The interview was originally recorded on a reel-to-reel tape machine in the early 1960s, and later transferred to CD by a member of the depositor's family. The cover of the CD shows a photograph of Jane and Ishmael.
