Scope and Content

The five items are printed Japanese propaganda cartoons apparently designed to incite Anti-British feeling in India. One, which pictures Ghandi, has the slogans: 'God bid Nippon to help India drive out the British Devil' and 'Japan is sworn to aid India fight'. Another (in English) states 'Vindicate Asiastic honour: wipe out Anglo-Saxon superiority'.
