Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science

Material related to the UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science which was awarded to Nigel Calder in 1972, "for his remarkable career in the promotion of science by informing the public on the progress of science, notably through print and television" ( unesco.org ). The file includes a script for Nigel Calder's remarks at the Kalinga ceremony in 1972; a souvenir booklet made to commemorate the silver jubilee of the award, with biographies of the Kalinga Prize winners from 1952-1977; press cuttings; and a printed list of Kalinga Prize winners from 1952-2004.
