Freeland parish is located in central Oxfordshire and was created in the late 1860s out of the larger parish of Eynsham. This collection was originally held by the Bodleian Library and was transferred to Oxfordshire Archives in the 1980s. The collection has since been augmented by accessions 3525 (September 1992) and 4219 (March 1997). The entire collection was recatalogued in June 2004 by Hannah Jones. A conspectus of old and new references is given at the back of the catalogue.
