Administrative / Biographical History

The United Kingdom Industrial Space Committee was formed in 1975 to succeed a number of groups representing the space industry, including the Guided Weapons and Space Policy Committee of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors. It was established and later affiliated to the EEA, SBAC and TEMA.

The UKISC later changed its name to Space UK. It remained independent, but supported by ADS, who succeeded SBAC, and techUK, which had been known as the FEI.
