Roberts, [1798]-1968, relating mainly to Caerhun and Llanbedr-y-cennin, Caernarfonshire, and including letters, 1849-1966; circulars, 1891-1941; newspaper cuttings, 1906-1968; verses, songs and poems, mostly in Welsh, 1853-1928; wills, [1798]-1869; general and historical notes, 1864-1925; receipts and bills relating to rent, 1807-1884; miscellaneous legal and official papers, 1825-1920; photographs relating to Caernarfonshire, in particular Penmaenmawr, 1882-1963.

Administrative / Biographical History

W. O. Roberts (fl. 1899-1957) of Plas Dulyn, Llanbedr-y-Cennin, Caernarfonshire, was a poet, antiquarian and historian. He collected items of historical and literary interest relating to Caernarfonshire, in particular the parishes of Caerhun and Llanbedr-y-Cennin. He also corresponded with local literary and academic figures.
