Administrative / Biographical History
Doreen Mary Evans graduated in 1936 with a BSc (Hons) in Botany. She then took a Diploma in Education, graduating in 1937. She worked as a science teacher, and taught in Stourbridge, and in the 1950s was Senior Science Mistress at King's Norton School for Girls.
Geoffrey Robert Parkes graduated in 1940 with a BSc in Metallurgy. He went on to study for MSc and PhD and was in 1958 was Manager of the Tinplate Department, R Thomas and Baldwin Ltd, Ebbw Vale
