Scope and Content

Waterperry is a small village to the east of Oxford. In 1925, it became combined with Waterstock. In 1964, it was separated from Waterstock and combined with Holton instead. Finally, in 1987, Waterperry and Holton were combined with Waterstock and Albury.

The greater part of Waterperry's parish records were deposited with the Bodleian Library in 1952 and 1979, before they were transferred to Oxfordshire Archives. Further accessions were made

directly with Oxfordshire Archives in 1985, 1993 and 1994, and given the Accession Numbers 2381, 3688, 3839 and 3849. This catalogue has been re-referenced and a concordance is provided between old and new document reference numbers at the end.

Recatalogued by Robin Darwall-Smith in October 1994.
