Administrative / Biographical History

Grandfather of donor was a butcher in Wantage and moved to Home Farm c1850. In 1918 he let the farm. His son took over the farm in 1927 and remained there until c1945.

Farm size: 600-700 acres pre 1918; c400 acres post 1918; c300 acres 1927-1945 soil type: greensand, chalk and clay
