This collection was deposited by Burt McNeill and was the result of a project that created a website and book as well as the interviews. The British United Shoe Machinery Company (BU) was a large manufacturing company based in Leicester from 1899 to 2000. At its peak it employed 4000 people. These interviews were carried out in 2012 and 2013.
