Farm size: 475 acres in 1939 when J. Shepherd owned 210 acres and rented the rest mainly from a Mrs. Bartholemew. Earlier (in about 1910) the acreage was probably smaller with minimal owner-occupation and land again rented from Mrs. Bartholomew
