Bewster Peyton, Bt., held at Wimblington 16-17 Oct. 1716 before [Clive?] Curtis, gent., deputy steward for John Mason, gent., chief steward...John Silly and Elizabeth his wife, who on 19 Sept. last surrendered their holding, surrendered it to the deputy steward by Elizabeth alone, the land called Fieldside in Askham field and all that messuage lying in Doddington formerly belonging to Robert Quicklove, father of Elizabeth...to the use of William Cox of Doddington, fabric lignar, his heirs etc. And William Cox comes...and is admitted tenant. Signed by John Mason, chief steward.
