Scope and Content

Sarah Livermore of Whittlesea, Cambridgeshire, and William Livermore of the same and Elizabeth his wife with the consent of Elizabeth Sheldrick, widow, of Bottisham release to William Mott of Cambridge certain lands in the above parishes, being in his possession by virtue of an Indenture of Lease dated the previous day [Doc 430], to him and his heirs for ever subject to certain trusts; William and Elizabeth Livermore agree to levy a fine to Richard Robinson of Cambridge or some other conusee and his heirs to be to the use of Elizabeth Sheldrick for the term of a thousand years; if William Livermore pays a certain sum by a certain date the term is to become void; on determination to be to William Livermore and Richard Robinson and the heirs of William Livermore to the use of William Livermore and Richard Robinson and the heirs of William Livermore for ever; Richard Robinson declares that the premises conveyed to him are in trust for William Livermore and his heirs; William Mott and Richard Robinson agree to join with William Livermore in any other conveyance of the land as he shall appoint. Witnesses: (for Sarah, William and Elizabeth Livermore) Henry Maydwell, T. Eburn; (for Elizabeth Sheldrick) Elizbeth (sic) Shildrick (sic), junior, Henry Gee, junior; (for William Mott and Richard Robinson) Henry Gee, junior, Joseph Symonds, Henry Gee, junior, Joseph Symonds. On the back is a receipt for the consideration money signed by William Livermore. Witnesses: the same. Six seals are attached.

Acquisition Information

Purchased from John Whitaker, Cambridge (from Hove, Sussex) 13 August 1917 (With this cf Add 5958(14), the original of which was bought from E. Williams, 37 New Town, Hove, Sussex. Mr Whitaker's lot from Hove presumably came from the same vendor.
