Related Material

Hutt's political activities and his scholarship on working-class history are hardly covered in the present papers. The 'Allen Hutt collection' of his books and papers on these subjects (see item H/9) did not come to Cambridge. Most or all of this collection is now in the library of Miyazaki University, Japan. See International Review of Social History 42 (1997), 147-8. Other papers relating to Hutt's membership of the Communist Party and career at the Daily Worker are part of the Communist Party of Great Britain collection at the Labour History Archive and Study Centre (People's History Museum) in Manchester. For a yet further collection of Hutt's papers, relating to the United Mineworkers of Scotland, see item H/8.
