James Lane Bowen: Papers

Personal and family papers, 1885-1909, of James Lane Bowen, Llanelli, co. Carmarthen, Post Office receiver, beer retailer and journalist, including reviews of his booklet, The Rise Progress and Future of the Tin-Plate Trade in South Wales (Llanelli, 1893); a plan, 1888, of a shop and house constructed in Lakefield Road, Llanelli; together with related builder's receipts and miscellaneous financial papers, 1885-1909; beer retailer's licences, 1888-1908; an account of festivities at Lakefield Road to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Penny Post, 1890; and miscellaneous documents relating to the family property in Llanelli.
