Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
This collection relates to two Merioneth families, the Prices of Rhiwlas and the Lloyds of Rhiwedog, whose estates eventually merged. In particular, it features, John Lloyd of the Faenol estate, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire and his efforts to build an estate, at home and in the Penllyn district of Merioneth. He died in 1615. In 1596, his daughter and heiress Anne (d. 1608) married John Price of Rhiwlas (d. 1613) and as a result, the Prices of Rhiwlas gained the Faenol estate.
