Administrative / Biographical History

Sir Harry Reichel, was the first Principal of the University College of North Wales. He was born in 1856, the son of the distinguished Anglican Bishop of Meath, Charles Parsons Reichel. He was knighted in 1907.

According to The Dictionary of Welsh Biography Down to 1940, He will be remembered as one of the leading artificers of Welsh university education, and a man of high integrity and firm convictions, entirely free from personal ambitions.

He died in France in June 1931.
