Administrative / Biographical History
From 1974, the Dyfed Health Authority, later the Dyfed Powys Health Authority, was responsible for assessing the health needs of the people in the Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Powys areas of Mid and West Wales. It also commissioned the majority of hospital and community health services for them. D. J. Davies was district community physician of the Preseli/South Pembrokeshire District of Dyfed Area Health Authority.
