Papers of Henry Chapman Jones, 1875-[1907], comprising notes on Professor Frankland's lectures, 1875-1876; inorganic chemistry; organic chemistry, 1876; 'Notes on my work', [1889-1907], notably relating to experiments on silver, HgCl2, gelatine staining and photography.

Born, 1854; studied Chemistry at evening classes at the Birkbeck Institute, [1871-1872]; gave evening classes in organic chemistry, Birkbeck Institute; student, Demonstrator in Chemistry, Royal College of Science and Imperial College, [1875]-1914; Secretary of the Royal Photographic Society; member of the Council of the Institute of Chemistry; fellow of the London and Berlin Chemical Societies; fellow of the Physical Society of London.Publications: include:Text-Book of Practical Organic Chemistry for elementary students (1881); An Introduction to the science and practice of Photography third edition (Iliffe, Sons & Sturmey, London, [1900]).
