Pam Harris (nee Chambers) was born in 1954 and trained at Leeds General Infirmary between 1972 and 1975. She stayed at Leeds General Infirmary after graduation, as she needed to have two years experience before moving elsewhere. She then moved to work at St. James's Hospital Renal Unit from 1977 to 1980, a sister on the transplant ward. Harris then became a District Nurse from 1980 to retirement, where she looked after people from the "cradle to the grave"
